At Greenline Africa, we recognise the vital role played by grandmothers, or ‘Gogo’s, in vulnerable households within the community. Many of these elderly women have taken on the responsibility of caring for their orphaned or abandoned grandchildren. However, due to their age and frailty, they often struggle to work in the fields and provide for their families.

To support these deserving households, we have established a sponsorship program. By contributing $50 per month, you can provide a basic needs Food Pack for a homestead consisting of five to seven individuals, primarily children. This food pack, carefully selected to meet their nutritional requirements, is personally delivered to the homestead once a month.

Each monthly food pack includes essential items such as meali-meal, beans, vegetables, tea, oil, and soap. These provisions go a long way in ensuring that the vulnerable homesteads have access to the necessary sustenance for their daily needs.

As a sponsor, you will receive a photo of the Gogo and her family, allowing you to connect personally with the beneficiaries of your generosity. Additionally, to keep you updated on the impact of your sponsorship, we will also provide news updates twice a year, highlighting the progress and developments within the program.
